House of Katachi a lighting and furniture design studio built around one belief, that a well-designed product is as much architecture as it is object.

Founder

Sanyam Jain

House of Katachi began with the belief that the objects we live with should feel personal, meaningful, and quietly transformative. With a background in contemporary product design, the studio’s founder started creating forms that move away from mass ornamentation and toward intention. By combining modern 3D manufacturing with tactile materials such as wood, textiles, and natural finishes, each piece becomes sculptural yet warm.

The goal has always been simple: to shape spaces in a way that doesn’t just decorate them, but gently changes how they feel.

IT'S ALL ABOUT

The Values

We value thoughtful design that respects space and function equally.

Honest materials

We work with what materials genuinely are, never disguising one for another.

Spatial thinking

Every piece is conceived in relation to the space it inhabits, part of how a space is composed rather than placed within it.

Considered craft

Each design moves through deliberate iteration, from form to function to fabrication. Nothing is rushed, nothing is arbitrary.

Built to endure

We design for longevity, in material, construction, and form. Our pieces are made to be lived with, not replaced.

  • Design as language

Every piece communicates an idea before it serves a function, form follows intent, not trend.

  • Made in India, made for the world

Rooted in Indian craftsmanship and material sensibility, designed to hold its own in any global setting.

  • Bespoke by nature

No two spaces are identical, so our work rarely is either. Each piece is shaped with the people and places it serves in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials are your products made from?

Our pieces are made using high-grade PETG, wood, brass, stainless steel, etc., with ongoing exploration into new materials and finishes.

How long will it take to get my order?

Most pieces take 4 to 6 weeks from the date of order confirmation/placed. If you have a deadline, let us know at the time of enquiry/shopping and we will confirm whether it is achievable before you commit.

How do I care for my House of Katachi piece?

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Our designs are created to last, to be repaired, and to return. When a product no longer fits your space or needs, you can send it back to us and we will thoughtfully renew it for its next chapter.
